@jakeherringmcfc @ToniJac99380926 @HM_Passport Well fingers crossed for you. I don't really get the reason for having to do it in writing. If the passport is being returned to the address it was applied from very frustrating. I called 03001231973 and got through eventually but you need to have plenty of time

@jakeherringmcfc @ToniJac99380926 @HM_Passport I get that they are busy but its almost impossible to speak to anyone. I had read you need 6 months but seems to only be 3 months so if i had known i wouldn't have applied for renewal so i need it back to go away then i will renew next year. Its crazy must be an easier way surely

@jakeherringmcfc @ToniJac99380926 @HM_Passport That was exactly what I said on the phone. I am outside Glasgow and my passport has gone to Liverpool but would happily drive. They said a letter needs to be sent and signed and it can take up to 7 days for them to open the letter.

@ToniJac99380926 @HM_Passport Yeah I finally got someone who explained that to me. Crazy that it takes 10 days to return it to you. I wouldn't have applied for a new one of the gov website had the correct info. Nightmare

@anjana_padmaraj @ToniJac99380926 @HM_Passport 03001231973 was the number I used. Was on for 1hr 45 but at least you get to speak with someone. The other number just cuts you off.
