"It wasn’t the economy," @mtomasky says. "It wasn’t inflation, or anything else. It was how people perceive those things, which points to one overpowering answer" — the right-wing media. https://t.co/8cu4znYI3y
Literally nobody has offered anybody any hope. The entire liberal playbook is currently to tell people things will not get any better and you are a child or extremist if you think they can
Kamala is a leading reason for the suffering Trump will bring but let us not forget Joe Biden who’s team floated only one term during the primary to get elected and then he proceeded to march into a coronation with no thought or discussion about whether that was smart or good.
Abortion rights are beating Kamala in every single state that voted on them.
Progressive policies aren't unelectable - unpopular Democratic politicians are.
Scathing statement from Bernie Sanders on the election results
“It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them…”
I voted for her. I think he’s a bad guy.
But if you lose the senate, house, electoral college AND popular vote, and you think the lesson is half the country is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and stupid… wrong lesson. And the same thing will likely happen in 2028.
Everything else aside, this is an astonishingly bad, but telling decision. Her entire campaign was riddled with contempt for a huge part of its base and now she doubles down on it, not even thanking all of her supporters who came out and stood outside her HQ *to support her*.
CNN tried to do a sympathy piece on IDF soldiers and then like halfway through the article you find out this guy was a D9 bulldozer driver who regularly drove over people while they were alive.
…And I still feel the single most productive thing to do is for every working class person to immediately sit down
& refuse to work until we’re actually free(d) 🤷🏾♀️
We’d accomplish more thru mass refusal to work, corporate property damage & public education on colonialism
