The bridge was demolished during the First World War for military reasons. It was rebuilt in the 1990s following pressure from the Ramblers Association.

Bridge appears in medieval records as Schollerwyek (settlement by a river bend). This Scandinavian term likely refers to the sharp curve of the River Alt nearby. Located near an 8,000-year-old Mesolithic site.

These were the last published, the red line being the park perimeter. We need to keep an eye on the area by the Histo building which is due to be demolished. The hospital in that area is currently being extended out.

@LivEchonews I'm concerned about the oil pollution in Dover Brook. Since it flows directly into The River Alt before reaching Lunt Meadow Nature Reserve, a vital bird sanctuary, this could have serious ecological consequences. The perpetrator needs to be found quickly and prosecuted

The park was upstream on the initial plans so positioning the swale on the park was impossible. The Histo building was swept into the returning park as a consequence.
