The chattering classes speak - it's "toxic masculinity" now 😄 as if young men being violently territorial is a societal issue that has just appeared.

Of course they shouldn't be on the pitch and the whole thing was unedifying and should be condemned, but what they miss is that any football support with balls is going to confront open, blatant and unchecked provocation by opposition fans invading their park. That's not me condoning, that's me stating something close to a certainty. So police it.

So this is dogshit dressed up as intellectual debate from talking heads with no jurisdiction or understanding. Chattering classes personified, and that includes McGarvey.

Take Alyn Smith - his party has caused more moral/societal decay and unprecedented institutional decline than some ultras on a football pitch ever will. Where's my debate on their nationalist toxicity?! Why is he even being asked for his opinion?!

Young men that attend football have been treated as less and specifically targeted by legislation (see the now repealed Offensive Behaviour at Football & Threatening Communications Scotland Act 2012) so watch as more of the same comes down and open season vilification of football fans gets ramped up once more. That means you and me in case you're in any doubt.
