@the_transit_guy Love taking the train from DC to Philly each winter to see family. But let’s be very clear, it’s *slower and more expensive* than driving. I do it for the experience so I can sit back and enjoy the trip (even if it’s rickety). Anything longer than that I will just fly.
What kind of company advertises it will take 4 weeks to ship a piece of baby clothing just because it’s on sale? I guess @KyteBaby 😂 Plenty of other options out there, get your logistics together if you want orders. You can get furniture delivered faster than that.
@DCDPW This is a bit rich considering the only sections of sidewalk I had a problem with when I walked to work in DC were in front of / on city property. Why doesn’t this rule apply to DPW as well to clean city property?
@evansammccann People will be pushed to season passes. $300/day for Whistler or $982 for an Epic season pass that includes Whistler and other resorts across the country. Doesn’t address crowds or food, but that’s the direction lift tickets are going.
@AdamRackis Absolutely not a boomer, but property taxes should restricted on how much the appraised value can be increased each year until the property is sold. Suburban sprawl or urban improvement should not force out long time homeowners whether they are retired or not.
NORTHERN LIGHTS TIMELAPSE OVER DC!!!
Billie Mitchell shared with us this amazing timelapse of the aurora over the District Thursday night!!! This is so cool.
@NEstaphan Same! I’ve seen the northern lights in the arctic numerous times but I have never seen colors like this before (watching from Maryland tonight). Just incredible!
If you're seeing the Northern Lights tonight, here's an explainer of how the different colors can appear! We are currently seeing a vivid display of pinks and greens here at the office!
