I am wrong here. I am sorry. I don’t think Harry Caray said let’s get some runs consistently one way or the other. That could have been done more often after him. I was always told that it was bad luck to say it or it sounds out of touch to say it when the Cubs are ahead. Growing up in the 90s, it wasn’t often the Cubs were ahead. The good that comes from this is that I will no longer judge anyone on how they sing it. Sing it however you want, just sing it with passion and get the people going.
