@TheRewatchables@BillSimmons When my family first bought a vcr, the only tape we had was a borrowed 6-hour maxell with cable recordings of Top Gun and this movie. 15 year-old me rewatched this enough for your whole audience 😄
@wil_da_beast630 The question you're *supposedly* trying to answer is impossible because you and I live in a culture whose foundations have deep biblical roots, whether or not one believes in the God of the Bible.
The question is, would one's morals change in a culture without those roots.
@SherwoodStrauss Brunson willed them to that point. I had no problem with that shot in that moment, and I am not a Knicks fan.
I *am* a basketball fan since 1981.
I am impressed with Brunson in this series.
@mattyglesias I’m center-right & very interested/concerned re fertility rates.
I don’t think any executive orders can meaningfully address it.
Imo, it’s a cultural issue of self-consumption.
It’s spiritual, and I certainly don’t look to Trump for spiritual leadership.
@Rob_Flaherty 8. Opposing most parents/grandparents on gender/sexuality issues.
9. Justifying violent mobs whose politics you agree with.
10. Tacitly justifying deep rooted antisemitism on university campuses. Regardless of Israel, most don't want to see Jewish students oppressed in America.
@Rob_Flaherty 6. Pervasive Vilification of normal disagreement as Nazi/Fascist/Racist was incredibly dishonest and alienating.
7. "Plenty of fine people on both sides." We can watch the whole video. It's egregious misrepresentation and smearing that burns trust.
@mattyglesias While I was in high school (86-90) we were in the midst of a stretch where there was a drunk driving death of a student or recent graduate every year. It was awful.
@wil_da_beast630 Truth is, Scripture tells us who is God; God’s intentions for the earth; and the nature and role of humans in His plan.
It does not tell us about God’s plan elsewhere. Perhaps God’s creative purpose there is different.
Doesn’t change much for faithful Christians here.
