There is a river in India so clean that boats appear to float in mid-air.

You can see 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗯𝗯𝗹𝗲 on the riverbed.

From a boat. With your naked eye. It's called the Umngot. It's in 𝗠𝗲𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮.

And we never talk about it. Instead of asking what they're doing right, instead of learning from them, we poured 𝟭𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗸 into the Narmada River.

Not by accident. Deliberately. This is when we already know 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗸 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿.

It depletes oxygen. It suffocates aquatic life. It turns water into a toxic breeding ground. Scientists have said this. Reports exist on this.

And yet, it was done in the name of religion. That's the tragedy.

From suffering animals. From a suffering earth. This is what we need urgently.
