@ViciousVeinx yeah I hear ya you're obviously entitled to your opinion and whatever assumptions you've made about me and my family/community, even if you're dead wrong and those assumptions are completely incorrect I guess.
@ViciousVeinx ohhh ok thank you. I really apologize if it came across and generalizing global populations I'm having a really hard time articulating my thoughts in so few characters. some things rlly too nuanced for a twitter discussion it seems.
@ViciousVeinx@pixyrot like we're mad about factory farming and the fact trillions of animals are exploited and murdered. the target demographic is not small communities who live in incredibly sustainable ways and just happen to eat animals they've caught themselves.
@ViciousVeinx@pixyrot atp you're just intentionally misunderstanding what I'm saying. it IS true that 0% of Indigenous peoples engaged in industrial farming so using those populations in defense of it is fucking crazyyyy. mostly plant based ≠ completely plant based. that's an objective truth.
@ViciousVeinx@pixyrot there are also vegans out there who will promote the idea of culling wild animals that are naturally carnivorous and completely ignore biological niches and the reality of our world. those people are delusional and we shouldn't let them take legitimacy away from the movement.
@ViciousVeinx@pixyrot 2/2 - is based on the very ideas brought over by violent colonialists. all of it is do deeply interwoven imo there's no way to have a nuanced discussion about the way we currently treat farmed animals without bringing this up.
