I think white europeans get so much credit for resisting during ww1 and ww2 but in reality millions of moroccans, algerians, senegalese and other africans were in the first lines used as human shields.
And i've got family members who didn't make it back home because of this

being black in fandoms means having to deal with content creators being outed for racism behind the scenes every few months and their ignorant fanbase of cream babies defending it

[Grace @Grace83775834]

@gadyola2 If we move the doll topic apart. It shocks me that their defence is that the ones complaining are black Americans and that because they are Americans they are ignorants and more racist. But what if it was an African person complaining…what is the take now ? They complain too.

noticing that whenever a poc gets a lead role…suddenly everyone care about book accuracy?? “oh the height, eye colour, hair colour” like y’all don’t do this with white actors

hate that as a black person i can’t fully enjoy fandom culture bc 95% of these spaces are antiblack as shit and even some creators are complicit in racism towards us….. i’m just tired…..

[Grace @Grace83775834]

@PocahantosLong2 @kresnxk Yes but if it is a stereotype means that everyone already knows that, no need to point it out . Probably they participated because they thought it was fun and now they are finding this comments; and imagine the awkwardness of their black peers reading the comments.

If a white person born in Australia can be Australian without Aboriginal ancestry, and a white person born in America can be American without Native American ancestry, why can't a Black person born in England be English without Anglo-Saxon ancestry?
