I miss Dr Dora Akunyili so much 🥹🥹
All the work she did! Kai!
She must be up there shaking her head at all fake shit in the country right now. It’s so scary!
It's been 48 hours+ My sister boarded a flight from Lagos International Airport to Doha Qatar 🇶🇦 (QR 1408) on Tuesday, 2nd flight ✈️ we communicate last on air via WhatsApp before her arrival because she was connected with the WiFi.
And same was the person who is to pick her up in the airport was waiting already, the problem is the flight landed safely but he never gets to see her, he reach out to the desk, and airline who told him she ✈️ has pick up her lounges, the confusing part of this is, she's someone not new to airports.... because she have worked for almost 12 years hear in Lagos Airport.
Till now I can't reach her phone's, online, I don't even know what went wrong, did she meet someone who brain-wash her in the plane ? Am just confused, she's not even a child she's (37) and always want to be independent, and hardwork... this her first time flying abroad and had no friends in Qatar, none, she paid for her accommodation and everything sorted out months ahead before the journey, the man who worked out everything is a family friend for long, and she was to resume work in Doha weeks after arrival.
I told the Agent to file a report with the Authorities which we have been communicating well so we can see the CCTV camera 📷 footage of her 'last seen' and identify who was with her last that can give us a lead.
I don't even know what to tell mum, who has been hoping to hear from her since for the pass 48hours + 😕 Jesus, take control please.
It wasn't a free offer she worked and financed everything from scratch 😭
where do I start from I don't even know if this is the real Nigeria embassy's account on X to tag. @DohaEmbassy
If you are reading this please help retweet 🙏 that's more than gold to me right now, God bless you for that 👏
you know there’s a kind of offer letter you receive and immediately know it could change the trajectory of your career. i received one of those yesterday. and i’m incredibly grateful.

Just do it. You will grow older anyway, so why don't you age with impact, influence and income?
This was me some years back.
There’s a wheelbarrow guy who normally comes to our office to dispose of our waste. He usually charges between N700 and N1,000, but somehow, I would still price him down. 😂
One particular day, he came as usual to pack the refuse. We were all outside, and I was bargaining with him to collect N300 instead of the N500 he asked for.
One of my drivers quietly put his hand in his pocket, brought out N1,000 and gave it to the man.
Then he looked at me and said:
“Boss, God has blessed you to a certain level. There are some conversations you should be above.”
Omo… my feet dragged on the ground. 😂
That statement humbled me.
Sometimes, it’s not about whether you can get something cheaper. It’s about understanding that there are people whose little earnings mean far more to them than the few hundred naira you are trying to save.
Since that day, I’ve learnt to ask myself: Is this really a negotiation, or am I simply trying to save money at someone else’s expense?
That was one of the simplest but deepest lessons I’ve ever received from someone who works for me.
I was sent out of Canada
Yes that’s why I came back home a few months ago
Yep, you read that right.
So I came into Canada with a spousal open work permit. And when it was about to expire, we applied for an extension.
And we were just about our business waiting for the extension to come out only for us to get a rejection mail. This came at a crucial time as there was a change of government and rapid immigration policy changes.
Omo, everywhere first blur. Premium tears everywhere
We did not see it coming at all. And I had a few days to leave the country ASAP.
My husband wanted to start running around seeing how to appeal the rejection without me leaving but I just told him “babe let’s leave it. I’ll go.”
I was not sure what God was doing but I trusted Him. And so I came back to Nigeria.
I went about my Fathers business like nothing dey sup. Trusting the one who has called me.
Then the dots began to connect.
Then came Covabodi festival. You know how that went to the glory of God
Then came brand ambassadorial roles.
If I tell you the other things God helped me achieve in this trip ehn, you’ll open your mouth in wonder.
Like, I began to understand that Canada did not send me away. God brought me back to carry out specific assignments.
One morning we woke up and I got a email.
“Congratulations Deborah, you’re now a permanent resident of Canada”
Yup. You’re looking at the latest Canadian permanent resident.
When I flew into Canada last week, I bounced in there like a madam.
I’m sharing this testimony to let you know that you need to trust God completely with your life.
You see that scripture that says all things work together for good? I need you to believe it with everything inside of you
Your wedding plans scattered? It’s working for your good
They served you breakfast? It’s working for your good
You did not get that opportunity? It’s working for your good.
Be pro-active, play your part, send in the application, do all that you should do and leave the rest to God
You may not see what God is doing in the moment, but as long as you’re faithfully serving and following God, just trust Him.
The dots will connect
And you will look and say “oh, Father so this is what you had in mind.”
Celebrate with me jare. God don run am🥳🥳
PS: Peep my resident card🥰
Blessings!
Communication is Precision!
Now I understand why there is always a maximum number of characters while filling out serious scholarship programmes 😂
