JUST IN: Tinubu has approved plans to allow more companies into Nigeria's airtime and data loan market. For years, one company named Optasia, from South Africa, largely powered these services for major telecom networks. The goal is to boost competition and give Nigerians options.
Behold Rufai Oseni, a self acclaimed journalist who is more famous for promoting fake news than verified facts.
"Igboho rescued Adelabu's kidnapped relatives" He proclaimed.
Meanwhile, Sunday was nowhere near the rescue operation executed by our valiant security forces. Nowhere. Not even in the neighbourhood of the effort.
This is a challenge to @ARISEtv, is this the training you give your On-Air personalities?
To be eager, hasty, even excited to advertise falsehood like virtual bandits?
Or do they get incentives for their engagements on social media regardless of the texture of their contents, hence Rufai's desperate and reckless activities on this space?
When a man repeatedly mistakes a rope for a snake, one begins to question not his eyesight but his intentions.
If this is not the modus operandi of your establishment, @ARISEtv, then why have you left Rufai - a prominent traffic offender/law breaker, by the way - to continue making a mockery of journalistic standards, driving your institution into disrepute?
I therefore challenge @ARISEtv: this irrational boy has become a stain on the noble garment of journalism. His continued employment is not oversight. It is institutional endorsement or sponsorship of his terroristic rampage against verified truth.
Fake news is not merely immoral - it is a crime.
And if those entrusted with defending the truth become merchants of falsehood, then who shall guard the gates of public trust?
Good Morning Severally...
@carfaithfun@osazenoo Who told you tinubu has not fixed power?
Can you start asking your state governor responsible questions about power?
This is ignorant of you bro
Sit down and let me show you something. 😎
Nigeria was borrowing money every single month just to pay fuel subsidy. Not to build infrastructure. Just to make fuel cheap so the same cabals could truck it across the border and sell it in neighbouring countries.
And every president before Tinubu looked at that problem and walked away. Not because they didn't understand it. But because touching it meant losing popularity. And in Nigeria, popularity is survival.
So they borrowed more. Printed more. And handed the next government a country that was bleeding from the inside.
Then Tinubu came and did the one thing nobody had the stomach to do.
Where would Nigeria be in 2027 if he did what the others did? If he looked away, kept the subsidy, kept printing money, kept borrowing?
We would be Zimbabwe. Quietly. Gradually. Completely.
The suffering you see today is the price of fixing something that should have been fixed 20 years ago.
The question was never whether it would hurt. The question was whether anyone was brave enough to let it hurt.
One man was
You asked for 7 ways Tinubu’s policies have benefited ordinary Nigerians:
1. NELFUND support for over a million Nigerian students. Those beneficiaries are not elites; they are everyday Nigerians.
2. Free primary and secondary education for about 30 million children. Are those children not from ordinary Nigerian families?
3. Massive federal road construction across the country. The people using those roads are traders, workers, students, and commuters not just the elite.
4. Increased allocations to states and local governments. The governors and local councils you praise today are spending money made possible by higher federal disbursements.
5. Support for the Dangote Refinery and the naira-for-crude initiative. Without these policies, fuel scarcity and endless queues could have remained a recurring nightmare.
6. Stability in public universities. When last did ASUU shut down academic activities nationwide? Millions of students are benefiting from uninterrupted academic sessions.
7. Renewed investor confidence and increased capital inflows. New investments mean new factories, construction projects, and jobs for ordinary Nigerians trying to earn a living.
And that’s just seven. The list is much longer.
So that's the strategy, destabilize the country, intensify insecurity and let's see how he will win again. You all using lives of innocent citizens to play politics will be put to shame.
You see all these mumu clout chasers that we made celebrity in this country @iamnasboi you get luck say you don rush block me as you no fit reply me again
The U.S records 40,000 mass gunshots killing annually and you'll never see any America musical or Influencer use it for clouts.
Failed content creator, failed musical and now turn to use insecurity in caused our own people tochase clouts for Elon 30 dollars. Shame on YOU Nasboi.
You keep postiing fake videos and spreading fake news to instigate fear and anxiety in this country.
@PoliceNG shouldn't allow this people to continue using their big for nothing media platforms to instigate fear and anxiety in the life of our citizens.
Trump you said you want to tag aggressively because of internal insecurity that are caused by our own citizens.
Instead of you people to use your platform to condemn the insecurity, condem the people using insecurity as a campaign tool on this country and suggest solution.
We all knows what we're doing in this country.
Now, let me address the careless talk of Babachir Lawal regarding his "Tinubu will outrig the riggers" statement. I think Babachir is one of those who do not understand the dynamics of Nigeria’s political space. If anyone thinks that Tinubu rigged the 2023 Presidential election, such a fellow needs to spend sometime with a good psychiatrist. Was Tinubu in any position politically, influentially to rig 2023 election? Even his economic power was greatly diminished by the economic team of the then FG cabal led by Emefiele. If natural clothes were to be Tinubu’s clothes in 2023, he would have been successfully naked by his adversaries. Fortunately, The People are Tinubu’s clothes, therefore, his nakedness was covered by the People who stood firmly with him to the end!
Who are these people? Those who believe that a Fulani man shouldn't handover to another Fulani man after one had spent 8 years in power. Those who believe that power should rotate between the North and South. Those who believe that Tinubu was instrumental to Buhari’s presidency and doesn't deserve to be betrayed. Those who believe in his policies like outright removal of corrpt subsidy from petrol and FX. Those who believe in his educational, economic and institutional policies. Those who believe in one Nigeria. Those who were betrayed by the PDP anti South arrangnment. Those who believe in the transformation of Lagos and want a replicate in Nigeria. Those who Tinubu made politically but refused to betray him like others did. God who is not hypocritical like us humans!!!
Tinubu losing Lagos and Osun is a clear sign that Tinubu's clothes weren't natural but human. His victory in the remaining 4 SW states where he has no biological affiliation spoke loudly in his victory in that region. Or you expected him to lose the entire SW? You must be kidding. And the NC did their best for him, pockets of votes here and there, the outright rejection Obi made the contest turned to Atiku vs Tinubu in the North. ATIKU beats Tinubu in the NE, expectedly just like Tinubu beat him too in the SW. Tinubu won Borno where he picked his Deputy, Atiku also won Osun where he had his former ally Governor. But TINUBU defeated Atiku in the NC and rattled him in the NW, This made TINUBU defeated Atiku completely in the North, in the overall.
Obi, being a champion of ethnic campaign, won his SE but Tinubu was able to get good numbers from the SS. Obi also defeated Tinubu in Lagos SW, but Tinubu could not defeat Obi in any SE States. However, due to Tinubu’s alliance with Wike, Tinubu defeated Obi in Rivers State of the SS.
Therefore, in the North, the election was Tinubu vs Atiku. In the South, the election was Tinubu vs Obi. In the SW, the election was Tinubu Vs Obi/Atiku. In the NE, the election was Tinubu vs Atiku. In the NW, the election was Tinubu vs Atiku. Every region, Tinubu was constant. That was how TINUBU won without the Federal Might. The Federal Might was for Atiku. The Religion and Ethnic mights were for OBI. The People’s might was for TINUBU.
Get emotions out of your head, Mr Babachir Lawal and be politically real for once!
Good morning to All Progressives Only ❤️
People say Nigeria is drowning in debt. Let me correct that narrative with facts.
No serious lender gives money to a country that cannot pay back.
The World Bank, IMF and international creditors have strict debt sustainability assessments before approving any loan.
The fact that Nigeria's credit access has actually improved under this administration means our ability to pay back has been reassessed upward not downward.
In 2022 we could barely access credit because our fiscal position was so weak. Revenue was collapsing.
Subsidy was consuming everything. The naira was artificially fixed and bleeding reserves.
Today the conversation has changed completely.
Does Nigeria have debt? Yes. Every serious economy carries debt. America has over $34 trillion in debt.
The question is never how much you owe. It is whether your revenue growth can service what you owe.
And Nigeria's non-oil revenue hit 153% of its budget target in 2024.
A country that cannot pay back does not get offered loans.
Some days ago, I opined here that Obi has been caged in the NDC. Many people came for me aggressively. Please answer, how many frontline Obidients who participated in the primaries won?
Zilch!
Owners of NDC have an agenda that is quite different from what OBI and his rude and politically ignorant group think.
Now, NDC is entering the fundraising phase of its agenda. Aisha Yesufu, unlike the power and influence she commanded in the LP, would have no role whatsoever to perform. Again, notice the body language of Kwankwaso now and compare it with Datti Ahmed then in the LP. Kwankwaso has refused to step away from his brand to embrace the "OK" brand as being superior to his brand.
Seriake Dickson holds all the aces, and he is not sharing power and control of the NDC apparatus with anyone. Least of all, Obi.
NDC is positioning itself for 2031 but using 2027 as a political springboard to grow the party to have a national spread.
Both Seriake and Kwankwaso know this, and they need the desperation and gullibility of Obi to water the ground.
Tinubu has 4 different types of opponents;
🇳🇬 Some h8te Tinubu because he didn't offer them appointment, ẹ.g @elrufai
🇳🇬 Some h8te Tinubu because he defeated them at Eagles Square, ẹ.g Obidence
🇳🇬 Some h8te Tinubu because he is a Yoruba man, ẹ.g the bitt£red Igbo's
🇳🇬 Some h8te Tinubu because power left the North, ẹ.g the cabals the sit on subsidy without doing anything
If you are here, u may need to continue till 2031 oooo... But I wish u well
Dear Tinubu haters, which one are you?
When Jonathan left office in 2015, many states were struggling to pay salaries, capital projects had stalled, and governors routinely traveled to Abuja seeking bailout funds just to meet basic obligations.
Today, states are not only paying salaries, but many are executing major infrastructure projects, reducing debt burdens, increasing internally generated revenue, and implementing higher minimum wages for workers.
The contrast is clear. President Tinubu inherited a fragile economy facing severe fiscal challenges and has taken difficult decisions that have strengthened government revenues and improved the financial position of both the federal and state governments. Nigeria is no longer on the brink of fiscal collapse.
From a friend's WhatsApp status, it reads " fuel was 97 under Jonathan and now, fuel is 1340"....he was cursing the government and anyone supporting Tinubu. This guy has an MSc
See ehn, to bring the people out of misery and impending doom isn't a joke. The dog whose injury you are trying to treat will bite you if you are careless. Moses was once told by the people he was leading to Canan that they wanted to be back in Egypt where they were guaranteed 3 square meals.
Where do I start to explain to this "educated man" that the cost of fuel isn't a measure of state of health of the economy? I am tired.
I do not mind genuine criticism of this government. Nobody should be above accountability.
But what I am seeing now is different.
This is a well coordinated attack.
Influencers pushing the same narrative at the same time. Fake news spreading, Emotions being deliberately triggered
We are in election season. Do not forget that.
Some of these kidnappings and security incidents that are suddenly happening in the news cycle right now deserve serious scrutiny.
Because in Nigeria, insecurity has always been a political weapon. Destabilize Nigeria. Blame the president.
Sorry but in all this, my one vote is for President Tinubu for a well done job on the economy
@mariolexxx The core of Nigeria’s problem. We compare ourselves to advanced economies but still operate with low investment, heavy bureaucracy, and outdated systems that limit productivity.
@mariolexxx As we can see Our fathers did nothing about it just as thier fathers did nothing about it . Here we are doing nothing about it . And we were supposed to be the smart generation. 🤠 The joke is on us !
@Agbejoro1@ansem_edet Where did he say dont blame FG? He is asking that all tiers of government do their part. I'm very sure the road directly in front of your house is in a bad state now but you are waiting for Tinubu to fix it for you.
