This is the Man Down Cornwall campaign video for 2024. Itโs a thought-provoking watch, but thatโs exactly what we want it to be.
Far too many men suffer in silence and are not able to talk openly about how they feel about themselves, their lives and the world around them.
The stigma of male mental health needs to end.
Man Down run talking meetings around Cornwall (UK) for men with mental health concerns. Meetings are run by male volunteers with lived experience of mental health. We run these meetings to help men talk to other men in a safe, supportive environment without judgement.
Together we can eradicate the stigma of male mental health.
We want this video to be shared far and wide. We want to make men understand that the trauma effect and the destruction left behind after a life is taken is unbearable and utterly devastating for everyone involved.
We are so very proud to share this with you all.

When the penny drops for you and you wonder how the hell we got here, in large part itโs because arrogant news journalists and radio hosts believed they knew better than David Attenborough and the worlds leading scientists, and didnโt believe this could possibly be true:
Happy #worldpangolinday!
The perfect time to share our new paper about designing camera trap surveys to improve detectability of the elusive #giantpangolin.
New @_BTO#Birdtrends data makes for grim viewing for some species - Chaffinch is still in freefall; clean and move your birdfeeders daily or take them down https://t.co/1BCqsITEMn
@LouiseJJohnson thanks @LouiseJJohnson! I emailed the grad school a month ago and they just said the board have not met to approve them yet. Luckily I have a job but it would really suck if I didn't. Yep @xaalii, classic MMU!
So Manchester University took an applicants ยฃ1k, rejected their application because they canโt make living costs, and didnโt give the money back. This applicant, a friend, then dies by suicide because of his absolute hopelessness of his situation.
Itโs absolutely scandalous.
