True. My current side project I am going from idea to launching a beta in under 2 weeks (and I have users lining up to be first to test it), but man is there so much UI work to do to make it not look like something I vibe coded in a week. It looks decent enough though and is usable so I’m happy.

I mean, if it means I can make good money for the next couple of decades (not sure it does), would love to be that. I have used plenty of non-Java langs (right now Typescript for front end, Python for internal stuff, all kinds of stuff on side projects). But with agentic I don’t think lang matters that much anymore, and I’m embracing that fully.

@nuoji I mean I was doing plain servlet with straight JDBC and a bit of .Net before started using Spring. Thankfully never had to deal with EJB or the really nasty early J2EE stuff that Spring was a reaction to.

Spending much more money running agents to build in golang instead of Java to use less RAM, and I’ve never written any golang code before. In other cases just doing static sites. Getting a lot out of 1GB RAM VPS’s

@ElbXaCZ17v52794 @i2cjak I'm still using Windows 2000. It's so fast, no modern Linux distro comes close to its speed or being able to run games.

Oh that's a down side for sure if that is the case. I run Claude Code directly on my Linux servers (no GUI) sometimes, and use remote to keep sessions going. A lot could be done over ssh, but that's another machine I have to have on.

Trying codex for the next month to compare and haven't tried remote yet.
