first time opening hermes agent desktop after months living in the cli, and i don't think i'm going back lol.

the setup is laguna s 2.1 is serving on my dgx spark, and i wired the desktop on my workstation straight to it over the tailnet.

the model lives on the 128gb box in the other room and i'm just talking to it from here. it's holding around 20 tokens a second across the network off a chip pulling 39 watts. a 90gb model, streaming locally into a gui like it's nothing.

the cli was already great, but the desktop renders everything. it fires tool calls in parallel and shows each one with its own timer, streams markdown live into clean tables with headers, opens artifacts in their own window, and the little animations make an agentic run feel like watching something think instead of reading a log.

i asked it to profile my whole machine, it ran four command groups at once and rendered the full hardware breakdown as a proper doc. i pointed it at laguna, didn't configure anything special, it ran. that's rare, most harnesses fight you the second you go off the beaten model. hermes agent doesn't.

this is genuinely good. laguna's cranking, the desktop is smooth, and i've got a lot more coming from this setup.
