Dr. Shereef Elnahal, our current Undersecretary at the VA, has been a vocal and tireless advocate for breakthrough treatments to address the veteran suicide epidemic. It’s a crisis of staggering proportions—we’ve lost 21x more veterans to suicide than on the battlefield this century.
Keeping Shereef in his current role would be a massive win for veterans, who deserve access to care that actually works. Despite his advocacy and vision, Shereef has faced censorship from the Biden administration, highlighting the challenges of pushing for real, innovative change within a broken system.
I’ve had the privilege of working with Shereef and witnessing his brilliance firsthand. The potential partnership between the VA, DOGE, and our bold new HHS leadership could redefine healthcare—not just for our veterans, but for every American.
I hope we can keep Shereef in this critical seat supporting our incoming VA Secretary, @RepDougCollins.
Politico article in the comments.
MA has an incredible opportunity to signal to our veteran population – and others who are desperate for new mental health options – that we want to help them.
By passing Question 4, we can reaffirm our commitment to supporting those who guard the tentpole of democracy and provide them with a new opportunity to get the care they need.

Eliza Dushku Palandjian is a trained psychedelic-assisted therapist and mental health advocate who made it her life's work to help others after psychedelic medicines changed her life. She's supporting YES on 4 to give others access to these healing tools.
Thank you @ewarren for supporting Question 4! Our ballot measure will bring together a team of experts, including researchers, medical professionals and public safety officials to develop frameworks for implementing regulated, therapeutic access to psychedelic medicines. #mapoli
Access to psychedelic healing through state regulated therapy is coming to the East Coast -- so long as Massachusetts voters say "yes" on election day. It's good to see support building from Bay State leaders.
Thank you to Sen. @JamieEldridgeMA and Rep. Lindsay @SabadosaMA for vocally advocating for new treatment options to address the mental health crisis in our state and our country! Vote YES on 4. https://t.co/8KloBE3Cvt #mapoli
The recent FDA decision is a devastating blow to our Veterans and the 13 million Americans suffering from PTSD. I’m heartbroken.
I hope the FDA will collaborate with Lykos and others to expedite another Phase 3 study. If we could mobilize our entire country against COVID-19 after hundreds of deaths, surely the loss of 150,000 veterans to suicide demands immediate attention to our national mental health crisis. We can move quickly when we are determined!
It's time to challenge the norm of daily pill-popping and push for treatments that offer real healing. We must urge our political leaders and the FDA to make this an urgent priority.
To our Veterans who are also heartbroken by this decision, I’m so sorry. Please know that we will continue to fight for you. You can seek treatment outside this country through @WeHeroicHearts and @vetsforvets.
This setback is just a hurdle, and we will learn and grow stronger together.
Courageous individuals are sharing their stories each hour in support of a new treatment for PTSD. Most assault victims don’t come forward. Yet, they deserve to get the help they need without getting stuck in a blame game. Let’s shift the focus to healing. #mdma4ptsd@US_FDA
“I’d argue that these benefits are better than any psychiatric medication that has been discovered in the history of psychiatry.”
There has not been a new PTSD treatment in 25 years and in that time, we’ve lost thousands of veterans to suicide. Scientists, veterans, advocates, and members of Congress all agree: @DrCaliff_FDA and the @US_FDA must approve #MDMA4PTSD. https://t.co/Gk5haBoCKE
Now is the time for women and survivors of trauma to demonstrate support for breakthrough healing treatments that will help 13 million Americans living with PTSD.

My dear friend @christianamusk bravely opens up about her journey with PTSD & a near-fatal suicide attempt in @TIME: "There Are No Good Treatments for PTSD. MDMA Can Change That"
This tear-jerker is a must-read. We are in dire need for new mental health treatments.
For those who know Christiana, this piece hits hard. It's difficult to imagine a world without her light.

It’s time to follow the data, not politics when it comes to saving our Veterans’ lives. MDMA-AT has a proven efficacy for treating PTSD that we can’t deny - so we shouldn’t deny Veterans access to its therapies.

It’s rare to find anything Democrats and Republicans agree on these days – but thank you to the 61 members of the House & 19 Senators who put politics aside and came together in support of the @US_FDA’s approval of MDMA-assisted therapy. @DrCaliff_FDA, don’t let politics get in the way of science. Approve #MDMA4PTSD @HBVets https://t.co/0xUQlXskA8
Our very own Juliana Mercer joined @OprahDaily to speak about the importance of FDA approval for MDMA assisted therapy. There’s still time to make your voice heard. #MDMA4PTSD

Jesse Gould - Thank you for everything you and your team at Heroic Hearts do to make the world a better place. I’m constantly in awe of your extraordinary leadership. 👏
There have been no new drug treatments for PTSD approved by the FDA in over 20 years. That has to change. By bringing the best and brightest together to provide oversight and working with top institutions to administer treatment, Lykos is showing @DrCaliff_FDA, @US_FDA, and the naysayers how to properly allow veterans and others to access this life-saving treatment.
#MDMA4PTSD has already helped hundreds of vets reclaim their lives. If approved, it’ll help hundreds of thousands more. https://t.co/4flBxN2xYA
Dr. Kornfeld’s letter to @drCaliff_FDA gives the perspective of an addiction specialist who sees the clear value in FDA approval of MDMA assisted therapy. One of the better explanations I’ve seen.

Elaine Brewer, a special operations spouse and @WeHeroicHearts coach, has a message for @US_FDA & @drCaliff_FDA: Don't let anyone else "go through the motions of happiness and excitement, but ... feel nothing.” Approve #MDMA4PTSD.

"A regulatory process is needed today that defines the effectiveness and safety of psychological treatments” says @ThomasInselMD. The FDA advisory committee failed to grasp #MDMA4PTSD as a unique, breakthrough treatment in its review. @US_FDA and @DrCaliff_FDA, don't make the same mistake. Approve MDMA-assisted therapy now. https://t.co/vJOjCkLnq2
We’re losing veterans on American soil at a devastating rate," says @JulianaMercer, who spent 16 years deployed overseas. For the first time in over 20 years, we have something scientifically proven to work. @US_FDA and @DrCaliff_FDA, veterans can't wait. We need to approve #MDMA4PTSD
