@Johnsaunde1971@Albion316 Respectfully, that’s much too early. 1977-1980 was actually a seriously fantastic period. Real ambition in the whole club, players that were super talented and genuinely cared and we played the best and most entertaining football in the country.
@_jacobschneider Great article Jacob. For the first time this season, #wba@WBA fans will actually know what style of play our coach is developing and what he wants the team to do. Whether it’s successful in the cauldron of The Championship is yet to be seen but I’m sure fans will be behind him.
@Spidewriter Hi Chris – great to hear from you and apologies, I’ve only just seen this message. Sadly, I’m in London on the 10th but please pass on my best regards to everybody. I hope it’s a great evening/day. Take care. G.
So sad to hear of the passing of Dr Roger Rimmer. Very lucky to have known him for many years – a great man, loved and respected by everybody. This pic was my dad, Tom Silk, with Roger in Bucharest for the @wba European cup match against Dynamo in 1968.
@conradchircop Hi Conrad.
I’m sure that he’s not a close relative as my grandfather had brothers & cousins, but no mention of a Ralph. But, with a surname like Silk probably be some eventual connection. Hope all is well & we can see improvement in our beloved club shortly! Rgs.G.
