Final crop insurance plant dates for #corn and #soybeans
If producers elect to keep planting corn or soybeans, they will lose 1% of coverage of their underlying policy for each day that passes in the late planting period.

See below for information about LRP and the upcoming policy transfer deadline. LRP insurance policies can only be moved once a year, and the deadline is coming up on June 30th.
Also, please note if you have had an inactive LRP policy, that policy may now be cancelled after 3 years of inactivity. If you have any questions on LRP, reach out to a licensed AgriSource crop insurance agent.

April planted #corn is about a foot tall and being side dressed this week. Could use some rain to help the recent planted crops

Proof that ethanol helps tame volatile gas prices. Wholesale gas price has virtually doubled since Feb. 2, while ethanol price is up just 26%. Ethanol WITH a RIN was $1.60/gal cheaper than RBOB gas earlier this week. Blend more ethanol to save more money! #E15#E85
2025 Iowa Nass county yields have been released. Be cautious using these yields for ECO payment calculations. Note that almost 20% of the counties didn’t receive enough surveys to report a yield!

Nearly all the progress shown here for NE IA is closer to I-35 than the Mississippi River. Three counties along the Big Muddy have mostly yet to start.
