@HegelUndrstnder@VayaConDonos@alexedmi@imfat Ohhh you’re talking about corporations, not billionaires themselves, well you see the reason for that is it helps the business to grow by not having to pay almost 6 billion in taxes which in turn creates more jobs which in turn and long run is better for the economy.
@GovPritzker So you effectively want to disarm arm law abiding citizens in the rest of Illinois because of the situation in Chicago which is still flooded with guns btw… man who are you bought out by with the bs
@HegelUndrstnder@VayaConDonos@alexedmi@imfat Who’s not paying taxes?, you realize the top 1% pay more in taxes than the other 99% right, billionaires are taxed at 35% of their the tax bracket below them is taxed at 50, as a matter of fact America has the most progressive tax system in the western world. Based on IRS data
@krassenstein If you lived in a smaller less exorbitant house you would be able to regulate the temp a lot easier, but I’m sure you won’t, why not let another family stay with or two? I’m sure people less fortunate would live the opportunity come Brian practice what you preach
@HegelUndrstnder@VayaConDonos@alexedmi@imfat Yes maybe, but that dives into deeper topics, right now I can’t see a feasible way for education to be free without tax increases. And I do believe inflation is a driving factor as to why wages are not cutting it.
@HegelUndrstnder@VayaConDonos@alexedmi@imfat I knew this was gonna happened but you took what o said too literally I meant philosophy as an example, could use tech as another kids take out massive loans just to be replaced by AI because it’s cheaper
@HegelUndrstnder@VayaConDonos@alexedmi@imfat And by that I mean, they take out loans with huge interest rates, for universities that are way very very expensive not really j owing what life is about or what they want to do for the rest of theirs.
@HegelUndrstnder@VayaConDonos@alexedmi@imfat Ideally yes, I agree we should have a society that has both, the problem I have is 17 and 18 year olds expected to make big life decisions when a year ago they had to ask to use the bathroom. I don’t think society as a whole sets our kids up for the best future
@nopengmi@PowellKeagan@hayasaka_aryan lol but neither are good and coke is the unhealthier of the 2. Not here for an argument just pointing out the obvious
@HegelUndrstnder@VayaConDonos@alexedmi@imfat Yea but maybe the problem is college is pushed so heavily and not trade jobs… not saying trade jobs are end all be all but let me be clear the problem kids were sold on the college scam of take out a huge loan to get a degree in philosophy and wonder why you can’t make rent
@DaRaesz@CaneTigger@adammocklerr@Montreal_Cane Yea man crazy how that one side that runs cities and states like California, Seattle, Atlanta, NYC, Chicago have crazy drug problems and homelessness like no other. Yep they’re really helping
