@gnoble79@patriot33920 Anthropic is currently starving for compute. Such a foolish take to think that Oracle couldn’t easily sell compute to anyone else aside from OpenAI. We are in a massive compute bottleneck and Oracle are the ones who have the permits, leases and right to Hardware.
Bad take buddy
What a week for quantum. The leading quantum computing company (Quantinuum) has
confidentially filed its S-1. This is the first quantum IPO (all the others went via SPAC).
This will be the first taste of quantum for many institutional investors on the street.
What they will soon learn is that Quantinuum has a strong lead in logical qubits, which are the necessary building blocks for fault-tolerant computation.
It's got 48 on its Helios system, the most advanced quantum computer in the world. The other listed independents like $IONQ, $RGTI and $QBTS don't even have any — other than $INFQ, which demonstrated 12 lower-quality logical qubits last year.
The SpaceX IPO is rightfully going to take a lot of attention, but Quantinuum should follow and will be one to watch.
$ORCL CEO: “If OpenAI can’t buy, we can sell to others.
I am considering going long $ORCL.
I was skeptical of their OpenAI exposure, but it’s irrelevant now. The demand is so excessive that they can easily sell to someone else.
What are you thinking? $ORCL long sounds good?
🚨 Wait what, even Tylenol tell their own customers not to use their products when Pregnant.
This was 8 years ago - but when Trump & RFK Jnr say it, based on Studies & Scientific Evidence they’re now ‘Anti-Science’?
$CRWV CoreWeave's debt load is oft-cited by AI skeptics comparing the current AI infrastructure build-out to the telecom bubble of the early 2000s. In reality, the majority of $CRWV's debt-load is specifically tied to underlying customer contracts. $CRWV is not issuing debt to fund speculative CapEx that may or may not generate future revenue. Instead, $CRWV draws on its Delayed Draw Term Loan (DDTL) facilities only after signing customer contracts in order to finance the GPU purchases required to fulfill those contracts. 98% of $CRWV's revenue is tied to specific long-term (4+ years) customer contracts.
Less discussed is the fact that $CRWV has been highly successful in driving down their cost of debt capital. Q2-25 interest expense of $267MM was essentially flat from Q1-25 ($264MM), despite an increase in total debt outstanding from $8.8B to $11.2B. $CRWV's implied avg. interest rate on its debt declined from 13% to 11% QoQ. The decline in avg. interest rate reflects:
- Paydowns on $CRWV's higher-cost DDTL 1.0 facility, which was the Company's first DDTL facility issued in 2023 and carried a 15% effective interest rate.
- Draws on the DDTL 2.0 facility, which was issued in 2024. The facility carried an 11% effective interest rate as it was issued at S + 6.5% (for IG customer contracts), as opposed to S + 9.62% for the DDTL 1.0 facility. $CRWV was able to drive down the rate on the DDTL 2.0 as lenders continue to get more comfortable with its business model.
- Issuance of $2.0B of Senior Notes in May 2025 ("2030 Senior Notes") which carry a fixed rate of 9.25%.
$CRWV's effective interest rate should decline further in H2-2025, as they recently issued $1.75B of Senior Notes at an even lower 9.00% fixed rate.
Lastly, $CRWV's leverage actually declined to 3.7x (Total Debt to LQA Adj. EBITDA) as of Q2-25 versus 4.1x as of Q4-24. The decline in leverage reflects the moderation of CapEx growth in the first half of 2025 (Q1 and Q2 2025 avg. quarterly CapEx of $2.4B was flat from $2.4B in Q4-24). Leverage should pick back up in H2-25 as CapEx growth reaccelerates (due to the commencement of inked customer contracts). That said, the more recent deleveraging highlights that in a steady, more mature state (in which revenue and CapEx growth moderate), leverage should decline and $CRWV should generate significant levered FCF.
