Claude wrote my code — recommended the approaches, the libraries, the solutions.
But the direction was mine. The decisions were mine. The vision was mine.
And, most importantly, the mistakes were mine.
Or when I chose to build around local LLM's with APIs tuned so a small model on a modest machine still hits quality — and keeps WordSpark subscription-free.
I didn't understand that when I set out to build WordSpark. For months I told anyone who'd listen I was "vibe coding" an app.
Then I found I'd outgrown the term.
@naval There’s some truth to this. Yesterday I realized that Figma couldn’t do something I needed it to. So rather than try to find a plugin out in the wilds that I’d have to learn to use, I just prompted Claude to build it for me. Mission accomplished.
Just learned that Google Workspace doesn't allow you to use all their services (e.g. Youtube) during the free trial period.
But you CAN end your trial early and start paying to get access....
