@briebriejoy most americans don’t trust elected officials or bureaucrats to effectively run a gov’t program. this argument needs to be put into a larger project of making gov’t more effective like mamdani in nyc, then moving towards projects like m4a
@dontsippy@ryangrim utterly insane to try and put this on his staff. they’re incompetent and have a lot to learn yes but they still have their pulse on something real. they got a candidate to receive the most primary votes in maine history
@PollTracker2024 This is insane. The onus is 100% on platner here. He withheld this information from them there’s no way they could have known. Unless the vetting process includes interviews with every person that was romantically involved with him
@nick_field90 At the end of the day the shame is entirely on Graham. He knew what he’s been up to and the skeletons in his closet. I will never believe anyone that says “I didn’t want to run.” It’s the most disingenuous and egotistical thing a candidate could say. Dude is a narcissist
@matthewstoller if it really was a rat fucking then you start calling people liars and providing proof of your side of the story immediately. such a slime ball.
@daveweigel if the platner team actually wants influence here they’ll need to utterly disavow and separate themselves from graham yesterday. best thing they can do now if they actually want troy jackson nominated is to not have graham or his voice involved with troy jackson whatsoever
