Just finished THE NEVER WARS by @DavePedreira and gosh I loved this so much. Both mind-blowing and mind-boggling. So deeply moving that I shed a few tears. Best SF I've read in a long time. Exceptional narration by @JohnPirhalla BTW. Bravo @BlackstoneAudio

張國立著「炒飯狙撃手」を読了。台湾作家による台湾ハードボイルド小説。炒飯とスナイパーという組み合わせなので、「えっ？」となるが、これが大真面目なスナイパー小説で、無茶苦茶面白い！まさに傑作だった！いや、名店の炒飯と同じくらい“超美味しい”冒険小説なのだ！無駄のないソリッドな文体で調理されるスナイパー達の訓練や蘊蓄、彼らの過去や出来。さらに事件を追う退職間際の台湾警察の老刑事、背後に漂う政治的な膿、謎の組織等。この手のハードボイルド好きには、壺を抑えた“キュン”と来る具材ばかり。キャラクター達の味付けも最高！超お薦め！
