The keys to this “daylight” pick R that the SS starts close 2 the R & breaks early( as soon as the P turns his head to look.) This has 2 B practiced to allow the P 2 B able to pick when it’s there but also transition back to the plate to make a pitch when the pick is not there.

One weakness in my game is my ability to read the runner on second base, and when to flash daylight. To work on this, I am going to focus heavily on those reps in scrimmages where I can hold a runner on second.
