@TonalisonTHFC Development isn’t linear but there’s a reason Nottingham Forest were willing to spend 45m on Bergvall as their Anderson replacement. If he can work on his OTB play and positioning he’ll be a generational footballer without a doubt.
@hbrooks_coach What are your views on the expectations of the development of young talent? With the Lamine Yamals and Cubarsis, and then players like Moore, Tel, Gray, and Bergvall.
@Shanderton@behindszy@WeRTottenhamTV I want to keep Gray as well, but in terms of squad building for Europe you technically need just one club-trained/extra player which gives you 22 players or 2 players for each position.
The hope is that at least one of Gray, Bergvall, Moore, LWB, Byfield, Hardy, etc make it.
@Gingeman1@hbrooks_coach Agreed that he doesn't quite have the pace to truly be a winger at the highest level in the Prem, once he gains experience he'll be perfect in the 10 though or anywhere where he can freely drift into central areas.
@LilywhiteLab Not saying Gray is perfect by any means and obviously we all would prefer Porro to start but seems like you're way too nitpicking a single moment of a game? You could do this to literally any player.
@NathanAClark@CumbriaSpur That's why I'm a bit surprised at some of his finishing when his goal against Hoffenheim was perfect placement low and far corner just like you described
