@johnarnold It horribly awful when parents do not leave their wealth to their children. This should be the law in the United States as well. If your children are irresponsible, place the money into a trust that strictly dictates distributions according to expected behavior.
@PenitentPond@frostiesama@trad_west_ After all, Christ instructed us to "judge them by their fruits". Western Christian culture has been judged and been found wonderful.
@PenitentPond@frostiesama@trad_west_ I think the idea that the Apostles died for their belief fails logically as a means of proof of the truth of what they believed. I think the broad fruits of their efforts are far more effective in demonstrating the proof of the Savior's message. What say you?
@PenitentPond@frostiesama@trad_west_ I am Christian. I believe it is the fundamental foundation of the greatest civilization in human history: Anglo-Saxon-American culture. A culture that has done more to ease the plight of man and raise the human spirit than the next 20 combined.
@PenitentPond@frostiesama@trad_west_ Just because you believe it does not make it true. That is my point. I should have been more clear. I recognize my failure of communication here. All the idiot Communists in 1917 believed in that lie.
@PenitentPond@frostiesama@trad_west_ This is true. However, it is not relevant to the thesis of the statement. The statement claimed they did not die for a lie. The statement does not claim that they died for the knowledge of the Risen Christ.
@frostiesama@trad_west_ Exactly. Not to mention any Red Army warrior that perished during the Russian Revolution. They died for the greatest lie in human history believing it like that lie was a religion. OF COURSE people die for lies. All the time.
@dlwiest@Howlingmutant0 Yeah, I was a waiter for four years. That is EXACTLY why I stack plates. I do it so that I can be an "Uncle Tom" for the server.
