If I had a film blog, tenet would be on there. Years ago I read an interesting insight into the film. I want to share this insight here and expand on it.
The characters are always acting because they believe there to be a danger, not because they know they must. Even the protagonist points this out, saying that the fact they even exist at all must mean they succeeded in the future but Neil points out there’s no way they can know for sure. “Saying it’s already happened isn’t an excuse to do nothing. It’s an expression of faith in the mechanics of the universe.”
I think the theme is acting on instinct rather than fact. The characters have no way of knowing that their existence would confirm their success, so the only logical plan is to succeed anyway, and exist because of it.
Hey @brian_armstrong — I figured you were the one person in the industry who was unreachable.
But it looks like you’ll be in Austin two days before @UBC_Conference 2026, where we aim to bring together 1,000+ of the brightest students interested in building and working in crypto.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we use sponsorship funding to subsidize student travel and connect the industry’s top companies with its next generation of talent.
It would be an honor to have you keynote the conference. We’d be happy to work around your availability.
There’s nobody better to inspire the next generation to build in crypto than you.
Spent August in Salt Lake City at @mtndao. It got us to devnet in a few weeks.
LevM is live. Options on prediction markets - no margin, no liquidations.
Pitched it at demo day Friday. https://t.co/Zp8ulBR9Se
You cannot build a perp on a prediction market. A perp liquidates against a price path. Event contracts sit at 0.60 for weeks and then they're 0 or 1. There's no level to get out at before the loss is total.
Spent the past few months building this with @arjun_g_krypto. Today paper trading options on prediction market are live. Check us out at https://t.co/hxShCBk2pw
Equities have a derivatives layer. So do commodities and crypto.
Why can't prediction markets?
We're LevM. We build options on prediction markets.
