For now, I can only think of a week-long break without meeting anyone. Completely shut off—sleep, cry, isolate myself—and then I’ll pick myself up again.
A gentle reminder.
Keep making du’a. Even when you don’t know what to say anymore, even when your chest feels heavy and your tongue doesn’t move like it used to. Even when it feels like nothing is changing.
Because du’a isn’t just about asking. It’s about trusting, trusting that Allah ﷻ is listening. Trusting He knows what you mean even when all you can do is cry. Trusting that He holds is better than what you’re chasing.
Sometimes, your answer comes a moment. Sometimes, it comes after a season, and sometimes, the answer is in the strength He gives you just to carry on.
Nothing you ever ask Allah ﷻ for is wasted. Not your silence, not your tears, not your words in sujood. So keep making du’a, especially when you feel like giving up. That’s when you need it most.
May Allah ﷻ accept our du’a, آلهم آمين
The older I get, the more I realize peace has a price. You buy it by saying no. No to drama. No to noise. No to people who drain you. No to shiny objects. No to temptation. No to opportunities that aren’t aligned. Every single no creates space for the yes that truly matters.
