We've had a lovely trip along the Peak Forest canal today despite the rain, thunder, & hailstones. βοΈ Many thanks to the crew at East Manchester Community Boat Project. We had a fab time & enjoyed our chippy lunch. Thanks to Barbara for getting funding for us to pay for it. π£ββοΈ
At the Rotary Tameside event this evening we received a chq for Β£275 for our Support Group. These donations make a huge difference to our Group & we really do appreciate them. π It was also lovely to see Mark Llewellin, High Sheriff of Gtr M/cr, & his Attendant, Andrew.

The PF Trust is a fantastic charity who has helped many of our Group members with stairlifts, scooters, & wheelchairs, giving back quality of life to patients & loved ones. π
Barbara and I attended the Action Together event about Volunteering today at Tameside One. Lots of information, tips and advice was shared among Community Groups. π

We had our 2nd visit to the Fireground Museum in Rochdale yesterday. Les, our Guide, told us about the history of the Fire Service. He let Kath bring out her inner child & have a play on the machines.π The museum is really interesting & the Volunteers do an amazing job. π

Tesco Superstore & Rashie, Community Champion have very generously donated grocery items to our group. This is the 3rd year that Tesco have offered donations, visited our face to face group & presented a Zoom meeting. Everything they do for us is hugely appreciated. π
