Sunday 9/20 - we are searching for the driver and car that fled from officers at the intersection of Annapolis Road and Edmonston Road in the Bladensburg area this morning at approx 3:55 am. We believe there may have been additional passengers in the car as well. It’s described as a silver Hyundai sedan which was reported stolen. Officers attempted to stop the driver again at the intersection after the driver had fled an earlier attempted traffic stop. During the second encounter with the driver and car, one officer discharged his duty weapon. At this time, there is no evidence anyone in the suspect’s car was struck. If anyone was, we encourage them to immediately get medical care. No officers were injured during the incident. We are in the preliminary stages of this investigation and at this time, there is no additional information we can provide.

Watch as chaotic incident unfolded in Atlanta, Georgia, captured on video Sunday evening as a black F150 truck was doing donuts in the middle of a busy Atlanta intersection during a large illegal street racing event. When the police arrived, the truck tried to fled the area, driving at high speeds through a crowd hitting multiple pedestrians. The officer executed a PIT maneuver, which forced the F150 over a curb and disabled the vehicle. The officer then got out of his vehicle, jumped on top of the truck, pulled the driver out, and apprehended him. The driver was taken into custody and now in jail

Box Alarm 1500 block 7th St NW. Units on scene of automatic fire alarm had kitchen fire in 2nd floor apartment of 10 story building. Activated sprinkler system contained fire until arrival of #DCsBravest. Another fire nipped in the bud by a sprinkler.
