@BlueWhiteEurope According to https://t.co/9JXBfmTarC, Greece advances with any win that sees them score 2 goals, even at 2-1. Poland advances with a Greece tie, loss or 1-0 win (assuming Germany wins their match).
@FanaticsNd@sataro1234 It’s a possibility, nothing more. I hope some of the teams exceed expectations, like Wisconsin has so far, but the schedule this year is not very exciting. It happens. It doesn’t change the fact that the team just needs to keep winning its games.
@Peter63712585@djzeus@TzolakiSZN What makes you so upset? That you couldn’t beat these “pathetic losers”? Who cares? It’s a game. Also, Brazil has won the most world cups. But then again, who cares?
@redwhite1925_@BVBNikolas That’s correct. If the score lines are all 1-0 as indicated, and the wins against Serbia are ignored, then Netherlands finishes first with 4-4 goals, Greece is second with 3-3, and Germany is third with 2-2. Predicting all games to finish 1-0 is not as likely though.
@IanSmit24242326@TzolakiSZN Agreed. This is the best development in this window. The comeback against Serbia, the grit to hold on for the win against Germany, and the maturity to not fold against Holland when the pressure ramped up. The draw against Germany shows a significant increase in maturity.
@kalinchev37967@Goatkeeper1_ Greece played for the draw today and it showed. Still, they had two legit scoring chances with Masouras, which were the best two chances of the game. As a team, they are becoming much more clinical and mature. Last qualifying, they gave up a lot of soft goals and then folded.
@cbb_george Ugly, but a mature performance. I think we learned from the last qualifying matches that we can’t go all out for goals and ignore our defensive responsibilities. We had injuries to key players and fatigue due to the number of games, but ground out a meaningful result. Progress.
@BVBNikolas@fmeetsdata It is quite possible. Greece loses at Netherlands and beats Serbia at home. Germany beats Serbia on road and Netherlands at home. It’s not a guarantee but it could absolutely happen. IF Greece loses in Amsterdam, it can’t be by more than 1 goal. Otherwise, they could be out.
@Fraudmmich@eurofootcom Greece didn’t play with its best players either. What’s your point? The defeat against Greece counts even if you say it doesn’t. When we’re all dead and gone, a future generation will see that defeat and not your opinion.
@AndrewJames1901@TzolakiSZN I enjoyed these matches as well. The extended window gives a better opportunity to gage the depth and quality of the squad in a more traditional tournament format with 4 matches. Very mature result grinding out the 2 draws at home, while dealing with injuries and fatigue.
@natsocHB88@TheBorisBecker Clown comment. 2 of top 3 attacking players were out and the 3rd only played second half. It makes a big difference in how the team plays. Plus Greece just needed the draw to secure Pot 1 in Euro draw and to hold h2h tiebreaker over Ger. It was a mature performance.
@Fraudmmich@TzolakiSZN No point in arguing here. The Nations League matters more to Greece than to Germany right now. Klopp is playing with lineups since the German team is in a mess right now. Greece is also working on creating a more cohesive team so we can qualify for the Euro and Pot 1 in the draw.
@____fireball@TzolakiSZN Not technically. There could still be a 3-way tie if Holland beats Greece, Germany beats Serbia and Holland and Greece beats Serbia.
