Took a little break from writing to be more present with the world around me. I was quickly reminded the world around me is a flaming nuclear shit-show, so I’m going back to hanging out with serial killers and professional assassins. Where it’s safe.

Hey, my story "Moll (After Kincaid)," published in The Disappointed Housewife @offbeatlit edited by @kevinbrennan520, was a finalist in the 2024 Best of the Net Awards

@SGJ72 Next up: celebrating having only woken up twice to pee; no longer feeling like you have to impress others with your intellect and vocabulary; and most importantly—other stuff.
@richie_narvaez @PaulaSMunier Yup—here to stay. Have even started spelling realize as realise and color as colour. Plus it’s much more exciting driving on the wrong side of the road.
@navah74 @PaulaSMunier Ha—I saw your “follow” before I saw your note, and was about to send you the exact same “agent siblings” msg in a DM. Thanks, Angela!
Always nice to see it in print. Thank you @MinotaurBooks for believing in me and breathing life into Porter Beck and his merry band. And so great to see @Janet_Reid mentioned here, my agent, who passed recently. #thebitterpast#shadesofmercy
I just woke up (in Sydney) to an email announcing Janet’s passing. I’m in shock. The day I got “the call” from Janet remains the best day of my writing life. She will be dearly missed by the entire literary community.
Sad news - my beloved agent @Janet_Reid has departed for the great library in the sky. Long before we worked together, her blog & @QueryShark educated me about querying, publishing & writing. She was a generous advice giver who truly listened to writers at all stages.
Today, I'm trying to boost the signal of my second August Snow thriller LIVES LAID AWAY. Why? Because I still love the story and its pertinence several years after pub. "Love" maybe ain't the word. Passion, maybe? Either way, check it out and let me know, n'k?
