Here are a few excerpts from a column Mintz wrote about Alberta leaving Canada. He hates many of the things Canada stands for (eg. public health care). The arsonists want us to believe they’re the ones we should trust to put out the fire they started.
The Carney government just dropped a $3.2 billion food security strategy and it’s worth understanding what it actually does.
Right now, only 11 cents of every dollar you spend on groceries reaches the farmer who grew it. Five companies control 80% of the grocery market. And Canada exports billions in agricultural products while turning around and importing processed versions of the same food from the US at a markup.
This plan attacks that problem structurally. $1 billion goes toward food terminals and distribution hubs so independent grocers can buy directly from Canadian farmers, cutting out the middleman. The Competition Bureau gets a funding boost to go after the property control tricks big grocers use to block competitors from moving in nearby. And Farm Credit Canada gets $1 billion for domestic food processing so we stop exporting raw product and importing it back as something more expensive.
The targets are concrete: expand the Ontario Food Terminal by end of year, open two new food terminals and 10 regional food hubs by 2028.
This isn’t a handout to Loblaws. It’s infrastructure to break their stranglehold on the supply chain.
Will it fix your grocery bill overnight? No. But building real competition into the system is how you get lasting price relief, not a rebate that disappears after one quarter.
This separatist referendum runs a very real risk of foreign interference. We now know that Albertans’ personal information has been exposed to American actors, and the separatists have been looking for support and money from the Trump administration.
Premier Danielle Smith has done nothing.
That’s why I have written to CSIS asking for transparency, regular updates, and a clear assessment of the dangers we face.
Danielle Smith doesn’t care about protecting you. Alberta’s New Democrats do.
“I highlight severely ill patients who believe they recovered with mind-body therapies.” BELIEVE. But he doesn’t debunk them, he supports them by asking (accusing) @TaylorLorenz if she thinks they are lying.
Please read replies from @julia_doubleday and many others who have more cogent arguments than I can muster.
I was infected in March 2020 and my life was destroyed. Reporting anecdotal recoveries from patients embracing pseudoscience causes real harm to patients like me in ways this author obviously cannot comprehend.
Think about the audience he is reaching. Think about who reads @WIRED /1
To treat LC as a psychological hurdle or a vague transient syndrome is a catastrophic medical communication failure. It completely ignores the measurable, interconnected loop of viral reservoirs actively replicating in deep tissues, immune-mediated nerve damage, cancers, vascular deterioration, ocular damage, cardiac remodeling and autonomic dysregulation. Patients do not need to rest, exercise, fast, or change their mindset. They require targeted, objective clinical data and treatments aimed directly at viral clearance and structural metabolic support to break the circuit and reclaim their baseline.
While mainstream media narratives frequently frame LC as a tragic, baffling mystery subjective symptoms like brain fog and chronic fatigue, modern clinical science has moved far past this dismissive framework. LC is not a psychosomatic ghost, it is a demonstrable blueprint of chronic tissue-level injury, autonomic interruption, and active immunological warfare driven by a persistent viral enemy.
Four of many facts:
1. Definitive Viral Persistence
The core flaw of the dismissive argument is the assumption that the virus is long gone once an acute infection clears. Research including extensive tissue analyses and whole-body PET imaging from institutions like UC San Francisco and UCDavis proves that SC2 frequently establishes chronic viral reservoirs in the human body.
Evidence: Researchers have identified SC2 RNA lurking in the connective tissue of the gut wall, bone marrow, and brain stem for years after acute infection.
Active Replication: Biopsies have captured double-stranded viral RNA in long-haulers a component that is only produced during active viral replication and life cycling.
Persistent Toxins: Studies have found active viral spike circulating in the blood of LC patients years after their initial diagnosis. The virus is not gone, it is a hidden, continuous factory in tissues and marrow.
2. Structural Small Fiber Neuropathy
The tingling, cold trickles, burning, and cognitive delays experienced by these patients are often dismissed as psych distress or post-viral malaise. In reality, objective skin biopsies routinely confirm that the constant shedding of antigens from viral reservoirs triggers prolonged immune antigen complex cascades. These cascades destroy the tiny, unmyelinated C-fibers and A-delta nerve fibers. This structural nerve damage forces the CNS into a state of central sensitization, meaning the brain is physically miscoding everyday sensory data as severe adrenaline or pain.
3. Autonomic System is in Hyper-Adrenergic Fail
Labeling a resting heart rate of 110+ bpm, profound temperature dysregulation, and orthostatic intolerance as a generalized anxiety disorder ignores basic circulatory physics. UCSF imaging has documented massive, ongoing T-cell immune activation directly inside the spinal cord and brain stem of LC patients. Neuroinflammation induces severe dysautonomia (like Hyper-POTS), keeping the sympathetic nervous system permanently stuck in an intense fight-or-flight loop. Chronic adrenaline surges cause erratic microvascular spasms and profound vascular laxity. The heart is beating fast because it is compensating for a structural failure to properly pump blood against gravity.
4. GI Stalling is Mast Cell and Biliary Failure
When LC patients experience profound digestive failure, it is frequently mislabeled as stress-induced IBS. Forensically, because the GI tract is a prime sanctuary for viral reservoirs, the local immune system stays very activated. This constant viral presence causes hyper-reactive mast cells in the gut wall to continuously dump histamine into local tissues. This overloads local clearing enzymes, causing mucosal swelling, intestinal barrier compromise, and smooth muscle spasms, while simultaneously inducing biliary stasis. The body stops digesting because its local chemical patrol has broken down under the weight of a localized, chronic infection.

Danielle Smith and other UCPers are using the line that “700,000 Albertans signed petitions for a referendum on separation.” This is complete BS. They’re including the 400,000 of us who signed the Forever Canadian petition. We would be very happy to NOT have a vote on separation.
Not sure why we are having all these discussions about #AlbertaIndependence, the bottom line is, #Alberta cannot separate.
Alberta cannot unilaterally secede because it lacks prior sovereign status; it was carved from federal territory via the Alberta Act in 1905.

.@ElectionsAB has done nothing wrong. Political parties and MLAs have access to the list of electors. This leak didn’t happen from Elections Alberta. It appear that a political party leaked it.
Government of Alberta limited Elections Alberta’s investigative and oversight powers.
We released our energy plan last month. One of our core proposals: a new West Coast pipeline following the TMX right-of-way to B.C.'s southern coast, built with Indigenous partners, real consultation, and a route that actually has a path forward.
This week, the federal government is reported to be considering exactly that.
This is what good policy under good leadership looks like: realistic, collaborative, and ready for action.
Alberta's energy future is too important for chaos and posturing. It needs a steady hand, a clear plan, and a government that's ready to lead.
Alberta's New Democrats are ready.
The Premier had no problem changing legislation to help out the separatists, but won't lift a finger to help Albertans with the cost-of-living crisis.
The UCP government has the opportunity to give Albertans a break, but they'd rather help themselves.
SARS-CoV-2 is a much more dangerous virus than the vast majority of people realise and taking steps to avoid infection with it is a remarkably effective way of maintaining your physical and cognitive health.
Trump threatens Canada with 100% tariffs, again.
So let’s answer with 100% resistance.
76% of Canadians are already boycotting.
Boycott American products.
Boycott American travel.
Boycott America.
