UVLD was thrilled to be invited by Production Glue to light the Innagural Ball for Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro. UVLD’s Greg Cohen served as lighting designer with Matthew Piercy as programmer. Trevor Gooch was head electrician, and 4 Wall provided the gear.
Breaking character: In case Elon cancels me soon, I wanted to share with you the greatest NYT parody ever, written I believe by a person who shows up in this account's replies a lot.
Sometimes it's good to be in the penalty box. @daviderees, @davidseitz and @gregcohen were thrilled to be invited by @BaAMProductions to light the #nhldraft2022 . Thanks to our outstanding lighting department lead by Chris Nye and the great crew from IATSE local 56.
An absolute pleasure to be back working for @LEOEvents at Walmart Shareholders. This show requires a herculean effort, but we couldn't ask for a better team to work with. It's great to be together. And together, we're back.
Let this be remembered as the night the Met Gala saluted the Gilded Age, a time of outrageous wealth disparity coated in the patina of luxury, while the Supreme Court sentenced poor women seeking reproductive freedom to death.
@realDavidHylton Sometimes people sign up on race day, even now, to avoid that fee. Which is bad for everybody, especially the timing and scoring people who have to hand type in the race day stuff. Races should make it easier and advantageous for the runner to sign up in advance
@realDavidHylton The race director sets that at runsignup - you can say “fee paid by participant” or “fee paid by race” - or 5050 - the weird decimal number is always there though. I agree, have it always paid by the race and the race sets the fee as a whole number.
I may regret sharing this, but I have a very personal story I would like to tell. I hope it doesn't get too long... Anyway...
I was 20 years old when I was sent to erase a man from existence and became haunted by him.
@stagelight17 I had a show last week where we did the test in our room and then texted a picture of the result to production. I guess it wouldn’t keep someone from faking it but it feels less creepy possibly.
@kmccoy I am a lighting designer and my CAD platform constantly troubleshoots itself by crashing. I am sure I am the only one who uses it. It’s called Vectorworks.
It's all about the team. I think that works in sports as well? Thanks to @matt_webb@daviderees and those not on the twitter for making this show amazing.
BaAM Productions is producing an amazing MLB Playball Park as part of All Star Week here in Denver. UVLD is thrilled to be here as the lighting designer and back in person with such a great team. Check out this awesome video BaAM made!
