@CovertheCorner I've been saying that for years, just not as eloquently and with all the numbers to back it up. Pulling the ball is great, if the pitch is in the right location, or if the hitter is José who can pull an outside pitch foul. Otherwise, hit the damn ball where it's pitched
@Tim_Whelan216 Imo Espino should still be in AAA. Yes he's got an elite arm but not being able to use him more than once every several days is like running with a short pen 90% of the time. When he can go multiple times a week, better yet back to back days, he could be something special
@JakerBrahney@ChasesChaseRate@CovertheCorner And yet the players keep getting the blame and the one hitting coach who had a different approach walked to Cincy after 3 seasons and they went right back to a guy who uses an approach from did very little for 7 years before that
@robkzoo1228@CovertheCorner Not so much the scouts, though they do share some of the blame, the hitting group, starting with the major league hitting coach, are the major problem
@GageEHC@enosarris I don't think it really matters all that much where you start, you need all 3, probably in roughly equal proportion. And you need a fair bit of really good luck
@sixpak1175@CleGuardians 2 reasons, 1 he's only played a handful of games in the outfield and is not a good enough catcher for the majors and 2 gotta keep Schneeman in the lineup, every day, no matter what
