Hey @AmericanAir , why are there five hundred people at the check in counter with zero staff members at Anchorage airport? No one to check us in or accept checked bags. Been an hour, now.
@engineering_bae This is me, in my circle of friends. Every time I'm like, "Oh, where have I seen her?" My wife will then list off popular roles the actor has been in and I'll be like, "No, no, no..."
"Oh yeah, she was an extra in that one episode of Star Trek:TNG!"
@davidfowl@GergelyOrosz I've never used the stack on the web. I played with it briefly on a desktop app. That's why I ask about the difficulty. I figured it must be possible, but I haven't seen docs or heard people lauding it's ease of use.
@GergelyOrosz You can move fast in C#, but if there isn't an easy and obvious way to get rapid prototyping up lots of founders and startups will veer away from it. Low cost or free scaffolding is going to win that battle 90% of the time.
@GergelyOrosz How easy is it to get .Net web services up and running outside of Windows/IIS? C# is one of the better languages I've dabbled in, being everything Java should have been, but I would bet it's more of a "move fast" decision that leads to other backend language choices.
@GergelyOrosz This goes for not only mobile but other areas as well. "Oh, you have database, infrastructure, and backend experience but no browser experience. We want someone with all of it."
@FwardPhoenix@engineering_bae My negotiations have always been the company countering my initial request with a higher offer than I had even considered possible. So I tend to shy away from negotiating any further.
Last time their offer was $10k base higher and 500% of the sign on bonus I had requested. π€¦ββοΈ
