When we interviewed Joseph Hofer (former Blackberry designer) on our podcast, he mentioned using woodworking tools that his grandfather passed them down to his dad, who then passed them down to him. These tools were valued.
What happens when ideas no longer carry that weight?
We killed a whole batch of dynamic branding tests when we renamed our podcast.
We enjoyed these experiments, but we ended up simplifying.
Posting the messy exploration anyway (it’s part of the fun).
We also made sure it is easy for the team to update themselves, so they’re not dependent on an agency.

■ Recently released the new website for Peony Moments: a destination wedding planning studio based in France.
It specializes in full planning for international and multicultural weddings in stunning French châteaux.
Their work has been featured in Vogue and Vanity Fair.
The solution:
We landed on something colorful without looking childish. It suits their personality, while allowing them to confidently go after €150k clients. It’s a website that filters the right clients in (and the wrong ones out).
Just a gentle reminder that AI-generated images and videos stand on the shoulders of talented people whose work has been used without consent.

“Je n’ai pas assez d’ego pour appeler ça le test de Lefèvre. Voyez plutôt ça comme une grille d’évaluation d’un examinateur (le plus tatillon de tous) pour la Coupe du monde des éditeurs de texte.”

Whenever I hear that minimalism is cold I can’t help but think of Japan.
Japanese have truly mastered the art of making things pure yet warm

@mwichary I figured you’d be the right person to talk about keyboard shortcuts ⌨️
I appreciate the new shortcuts to fill/hug content by double-clicking on a container's edges. I was wondering if something similar would be possible for packed/space between (see video below)
I know about the current shortcut (selecting the placement box and pressing X) but something like this would be faster as the cursor stay on target.
