Growing up, the econobox helped kids become responsible adults. Sadly, and largely because of the lack of affordable options, today's youth are even thinking about the possibility of car ownership.

This morning in Vaughan, we attended the signing of a new memorandum of understanding between Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Ocean, and @APMACanada.
This agreement sets out to merge the full-strength of Ontario’s advanced manufacturing supply chain with Hanwha’s sector expertise to build military and industrial vehicles, right here, within the province.
As global defence spending accelerates around the world, partnerships like this are a welcome reminder that Ontario suppliers and workers are poised to seize this generational opportunity.

Take a 👀: EV share as a percentage of new car sales. Globally, the trend is undeniable. Americans are unfortunately being left behind as the legacy D3 continue to hang on to product lines with obsolete technology with declining profitability.
Regardless of what happens in Europe and the U.S., the world is moving to EVs.
There is nothing that western automakers can do to reverse this trend, and geopolitical risk in oil will only accelerate it.
Either get good at EVs, or wither away.
ICYMI: Last week, our government marked a major milestone in our plan to strengthen Ontario’s economy with the official grand opening of @NextStarEnergy’s battery plant in Windsor.
Having already manufactured one million battery cells since starting production, the $5 billion project will create 2,500 good-paying jobs once fully operational.
