Federal officials are organizing a call for Thursday with airline industry representatives to plan for potential weather disruptions over the July 4 weekend, according to an industry source familiar with the matter.
The industry and @FAANews have been arguing over who is least prepared for high summer demand. Industry says FAA is understaffed, especially at a key facility in Florida. FAA says it is shifting employees to cover gaps and that airlines are struggling to recover from weather.
