How is polar bear habitat in Hudson Bay this year? Bad. Red/pink is missing ice. Last week was 20% ice cover & the median is >50%. Polar bears move ashore at ice cover <50% but our tracking data suggests the bears are hanging on to the last ice longer than they used to.

@Todd_Friesen MB Marathon should consider moving the starting time--like 6 am as you suggest--or moving race date in order to alleviate the risk if high temps on participants.
