If you base it on their allegiance to their party platform then you avoid the right/wrong evaluation basis. If they align with their party that is not inherently wrong. It would be easier then to evaluate if they match your views (i.e. he aligns 90% with Democratic or Republican Party stated platform and therefore I agree/disagree with them).

Someone yesterday asked me, "Aren't you glad Sam is in the Coast Guard". It caught me off guard, and I asked why? They said, "Well at least he is not in the military going to the middle east". Did you know that the Coast Guard has stations in Bahrain, Japan, Singapore, Netherlands, Spain, and South Korea? And yes, those stations are deployed with the Navy to do interdictions, high risk boardings, and other combat duties. For example, there are five big white Coast Guard National Security Cutters in Bahrain right now. While we think of the Coast Guard for their life saving duties and interdictions here at home, they are the only hybrid service being part of the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense when needed. Almost a year ago Sam requested his next assignment. He wanted to see a bit of action, and another part of the world, (guess which of the above bases he thought would have the most action). Now there was no combat going at that time. But here we are a few weeks away from that deployment and he is headed to Bahrain. These young men and women are well prepared, are mission focused, and are the best Americans I know. No matter what your politics are all I ask is that you keep them in your prayers. They are not thinking about politics, and they are willing to take on assignments that most of us would never do. And if you see them in a grocery store, airport, or restaurant please say a kind word or thank them for their service. It really does mean something to them to know that we support them. That is not about politics. Sam and all of his buddies are in my prayers tonight. I hope they will be in yours.

@elonmusk While true, it is misleading at best. China has a population that is almost 4 times larger than the United States. They are still producing electricity at a much less per capita rate than the United States.

The problem isn’t that they don’t know the law, the problem is they don’t care to know. Reporters are no longer inquisitive, and are so use to being given talking points they no longer know what the job of reporter entails. Sad to see the end of the profession in the main stream media.
