@cohix Just started wearing computer glasses. Go back to the optometrist and get them to correct the fit. They can heat and bend the hooks behind the ear to sit comfortably and stay in place!
@cohix My guess is serverless arose due to a lack of on-premise servers. To be literal, how about "off-premise" or "off-prem"?
I could see "cloud first" being another option. "Distributed cloud" is boring but accurate.
An off-prem solution/cloud-first application/distributed cloud app
@CBCStephenQuinn @CBCEarlyEdition I've been quite enjoying your and @CostelloJake's 2020 The Early Edition Wake-Up playlist. Thanks for putting it together. Great early morning listening!
Do you happen to have a collection for 2019 or earlier? I'd listen the heck out of that.
@shehackspurple Mid-island here!
Giving used toys is tough this covid year. However these folks may know someone who will accept them this year or perhaps they will accept them next year: https://t.co/203KaEBLKA
Too right. Our local SAR teams do fabulous work as volunteers, helping ensure we all get home safe. They deserve more support and recognition, not replacement. The TEEAM model needs to be picked up and thrown in the gutter where it belongs.
@duncanstevenson@CodeRhoades That's an accurate assessment^^
I turned it off first time from the cringe factor, but as I was re-introduced later from Viv watching it, I grew to really enjoy it! The character growth is real and engaging~
@lithohedron Fun extra organ factoid: "in each species [of flatworm], a simple or branched digestive tract is serviced by only one opening - the mouth doubling as the anus" Marine Life PNW, of 113
Hopefully that answers the voiced question in the video π
@lithohedron Not a biologist, but to hazard a guess, I'd say as you say it's an Intertidal Flatworm. The large central mass seems visible in the video, when compared to my second pick, the green flatworm. Photos from the excellent Marine Life of the Pacific Northwest pgs 114 & 115
@ow Within the last year I'd say, coinciding with the YouTube Premium push.
This is especially true at peak usage times or once they know you are locked in. Ever stay up late watching videos? Congratulations everything now has two unskippable ads.
@cohix and I need more company on the integrations team! Come play with #golang#docker and #kubernetes while making advanced enterprise password management easier and more secure! https://t.co/OIcNGxjAJR
@benbjohnson Generally, I've found a main should be tiny, and essentially just import your main application library. Then you can import and test the library independent of the main file.
@benbjohnson I believe because the main package is marked as the entry point for the entire application. If you could import it, then it wouldn't really be the entry point anymore.
