sometimes the best thing isn't the easiest or most enjoyable thing. It's what we do because otherwise we wouldn't be able to look at ourselves in the mirror
A senior prison official who implemented Scotland's policy allowing male "transgender" sex offenders into women’s prisons was himself a sex offender who hoarded 22,000 indecent pictures of children.
Scotland's prison policy of transferring males into women's facilities based on "gender identity" was developed by Gordon Pike of the Scottish Prison Service.
One of the first men to be transferred into a women's prison in Scotland was Peter Laing, who was placed in the women’s section of Edinburgh’s Saughton prison while serving a life sentence for murder.
Laing, who identifies as transgender, renamed himself Paris Green, after an arsenic-based poison.
@jk_rowling The terror she allowed women prisoners to live under, her indifference to rape survivors and the relentless worry she gave women like me who are concerned for vulnerable female relatives- but it's her being asked questions she finds disgraceful.
Unaccountable for far too long.
Trans women are men. All of them. It is impossible for a woman to be a trans woman. What you propose means women losing their sex-based rights. Those are the rights under discussion.
If you want to campaign for trans-identified men to have their own spaces away from other men, have at it. But you don’t want that, which proves that your priority isn’t those men’s safety. What you want is for women to sacrifice their safety, privacy and dignity to validate men’s identities. You are, in short, a men’s rights activist who berates women for saying no to your fellow men.
It took 12 years, huge amounts of patient work by many people, mainly women, media attention, ultimately a court case and, most always unforgiveably, countless women prisoners being used as collateral damage.
But the 'strategising' ends here today.
🚨A pedophile, a rapist, and a man who beat a woman to death are behind a major legal push to move all trans-identified male inmates to women's prisons in Oregon.
The men were anonymized as "victims" in the lawsuit, but Reduxx can reveal their identities.

The genesis of the unlawful policy that put violent male prisoners in with vulnerable female prisoners lies with the Equality Network’s cynical strategy outlined below. As they are handsomely funded by the Scottish government this definitely merits further investigation.
The people defending the man who broke a policewoman’s spine are exactly the same people who two years ago defended a man punching a woman in the Olympics.
Every single one of them is entirely devoid of integrity and decency. Lost causes whose moral compass, if it ever existed, is shattered beyond repair.
@terfdiarist Hello. Just back from holiday and my copy is here. October 2019 totally captures the distress intentionally inflicted on us by Rape Crisis Scotland. Looking forward to reading the rest. Thank you so much for your work and for the handwritten dedication. Right back at ya. X. M.

Her sense of shock and the awful aura of menace that closed in on her, still haunt former prisoner Amy.
Prison should have been free from the male predators who had sexually assaulted and raped her in her childhood – but the terrifying presence looming over her, a trans identified male (‘transwoman’) prisoner in a blonde wig, was broad-shouldered, muscular and very obviously a man.
“The look in his eyes was frightening,’ Amy says, her voice quiet but assertive.
“He leered at me before lunging forward and grabbing my breasts hard. He squeezed them and I cried out in pain. I was terrified he would rape me.
“As he grabbed my breasts, he said something truly disgusting about what he wanted to do to me.”
Amy was well aware that J still had male genitalia because he often intimidated her and fellow female prisoners at HMP Bronzefield in Ashford, Kent, by exposing them.
Moreover, J was serving time for a serious sexual assault on a child and was clearly a danger to other inmates. Yet he had secured a coveted job as a cleaner at the prison gym where Amy also worked. And it was while she was in the gym’s lavatory block that J assaulted her in 2017.
“J was wearing a short blonde wig, heavy blusher and eyeshadow. I could see his five o’clock shadow under the foundation,’ says Amy. ‘What were the officers even thinking, letting him clean toilets in which women would be in a state of undress and alone? Why was there a child sex offender with a penis cleaning the toilets of the gym in a women’s prison?”
I was a prison inspector in the Scottish prison system and witnessed the extreme distress of women. Plus their intense rage about being forced to lie about the fact that the system was letting any man into the female estate just by declaring the magic words “I am a woman”
Although I applaud @ForWomenScot (always) and their latest win, we must not forget that three women had to go to court to STOP a government putting male offenders - including rapists and child abusers - in the same prisons as women.
In 2026. In a supposedly civilised society.
Just over 200 years after Elizabeth Fry won rights for women in prison, we have established that the Scottish Government's cruel policy of incarcerating women with violent male prisoners was never lawful. We are thrilled with the result, but it should never have come to this.

What a travesty it is that academic, Michael Foran, until recently of Glasgow University, who has just written the definitive work on Sex, Gender, Identity and the Law is not appearing on any platforms at the Edinburgh Book Festival. Inclusivity is such a narrow concept for them.
I have just finished reading The Rape Gang Inquiry Report.
It is, without a doubt, the most horrifying document I've ever read in my life.
There is no close second... and it's worse than you could ever imagine.
Here's everything you need to know 🧵
Ah tolerance. One of the men featured in this video was happy to join a crowd of people screaming abuse at women when women gathered to speak about their rights.
