@PrenticeWulff@LASHYBILLS “No excuses for such violence” followed up with “Karma’s a bitch” is baffling. Father was homophobic, unhoused him, and provoked AND assaulted him at another event. But the gay nigga defending themselves is the violent one? Just obtuse as fuck.
@fundraiserboost@wildklip The difference between Ethnicity and Race has you and others in a chokehold. That is a white woman, regardless of where she is from.
@neptun1985@gonzaj200@eThaRealist@FKACH4RM He can spend time with me at any other time that’s available. I would not want him in a space that is meant for Black queer people!
@dcdmoore@inlew_of You’re still bottom/body shaming. Not everyone’s asshole has the same anatomy/structure, young or old. You will be in his position one day.
Just a few points. Scanability on the before feels more streamlined than the after. On After, Logos next to header seems like an afterthought. The social media logos should be complimentary/secondary (even tertiary) because it’s not the main product.
I’m not understanding the benefit of the second CTA button the After. It seems redundant and the copy isn’t providing an effect, solid action the user should take.
I generally hate before and after posts because most provide little to no context of the product or service.
@eThaRealist@RYNM3DIA@FKACH4RM@gonzaj200 No. You just have some anti-blackness you have to unpack. You defending this white man in any capacity is weirdo behavior. He’s a “non-factor,” yet here you are. 🤷🏽♂️
I would never be in an interracial relationship to begin with (but I’ll play along), but if my partner doesn’t understand the nuances of their white privilege and why attending would be a problem, it’s over and done with. But again, I wouldn’t put myself in that traumatic situation to begin with. 🤷🏽♂️
@gonzaj200 Serious question, are non black people completely not allowed to attend any black pride party?
Asking because I always see at least one or two minding their business but absolutely present
@sorrowdrives@afroanalytic If Black folks raise the bar high, that typically means white men would not have access to them at all, right? But that’s where the resistance comes in 🤷🏽♂️
Cynthia Erivo responds to jokes about her being Ariana Grande’s “bodyguard” after defending her from an intruder on the ‘WICKED: FOR GOOD’ red carpet:
“I think that we haven’t really come to terms with the insidious nature of how we view Black women. And I’m sure people will read this and think, ‘Oh, for goodness’ sake, it’s not about that.’ But it is. Because that’s what was being made fun of. It was my physique; it was my shape; it was the fact that I was bald; it was about what I looked like. And because of that, there was this assumption that I was bigger than my co-star and so I had to be controlling or protecting, and that was my role. I would hazard a guess that it would not have been the same had it been the other way around.”
