“Sleep training” little babies is the most diabolical trend in human history.
My generation is locking babies in a room to cry themselves to sleep every night and it makes me sick.
Frihet?
Public Norway and politicians are hating on this woman for stating the obvious: putting one year old babies in child care, giving them to strangers for 8 hours a day five days of the week, while their attachment to their parents are the strongest, is a sick culture.
They’re calling her hateful for making them feel bad. Well, that feeling should tell you something, perhaps that we live in a sick culture? 👀

The question isn't whether to trust doctors.
The question is which part of the current list turns out to be the thalidomide.
“You can’t love children too much.”
Gabor Maté flips the “mama’s boy” stereotype on its head:
A landmark study followed newborns and how their mothers related to them.
Most moms were attuned and loving.
Some were distant.
Some were extra doting and coddling.
35 years later?
The adults who turned out most independent, successful, and self-actualized were the ones who received super abundant love from their mothers.
Maté’s takeaway:
The real “mama’s boy” isn’t created by too much love—it’s created by anxious love.
When a mother coddles not because the child needs it, but because she needs it to soothe her own anxiety, the child absorbs that anxiety.
It’s not excessive love that creates dependency… it’s unresolved parental anxiety being downloaded into the child.
Clip from this 52-second gem — Maté dismantling the myth with science and compassion.
Ever notice how the most confident people often had parents who were unapologetically loving?
Or seen how anxiety can quietly pass down generations?

@colonelkurtz99 This! Finally, someone pin-pointed this absurd behaviour. «So long, London» breaks my heart for the poor person that’s being trashed and publicly humiliated for having a depression.
This Hubble Ultra Deep Field contains approximately 10,000 galaxies, extending back in time to within a few hundred million years of the big bang. What do galaxies that existed even earlier look like? Two teams using #NASAWebb will revise what we know: https://t.co/uGHrCQeCJ1
