@FreddyLA7 Check out the museum district for indoor fun. And when you’re ready to go outside, see how nature helps with heat and storm water on the Green Corridor: https://t.co/DdfRwOByTj
@HoustonChron He’s not polarizing at all. Houston is united against him. Too bad we can’t put him or BOM on the ballot - the reason wannabe dictators kill democracy.
@bethshook Actually there are a ton of pools around! Houston Parks has great ones (just need shade!). YMCAs have heated pools even for winter or multiple pools in some facilities. And there are other community pools besides the lodge with no waitlist.
@saracress Are any entrepreneurs selling the light, medium, and heavy Hurricane kit yet? This is like school supplies, where I want to pay more for the PTO box that has everything ready for me.
@AbbieKamin @TeamHISD @ghostofheights@Heights_PTO They also tried to open Helms with no power and outright lied to parents. Thanks to the PTA and school administrators for standing up for kids.
@houston_tsta The last part is key - you’re held accountable for student learning but have no control over what’s taught. The ppl making the slides should be held accountable… 🤔
@Aefauld@HoustonChron@ChronOpinion@ABC13Miya On a trip w/ Whitmire 1.5 yrs ago, he spent the whole time complaining about Houston + Harris County. I thought that meant he was going to be proactive & fix things. I didn’t realize the petty politics was an obsession. It now seems he doesn’t know how to govern.
@wendyc78757 @GinaForAustin Nothing to do with anti-semitism and those claiming it is are the ones who were entertaining literal Nazis. The disingenuous hypocrisy is gross. Palestinians, Israelis, Christians, Muslims, and Jews are people, all must be treated with dignity.
@meganmmenchaca@UTAustin Constitution trumps made up rules, @JCHartzell - shame on you for abusing power and violating the Constitution. Your actions are un-American.
@DickNixonLives@TexasTribune Maybe these “good” comments are Russian communist bots trying to undermine American values? Because it’s un-American for the state to deny constitutional rights, even more to arrest and terrorize people for using those rights. This is a free country.
@HarrietFeagin @TexasTribune My tax dollars go here too, and I support the Constitution. Students have a right to free speech and peaceful protest, as well as freedom from harassment by the state. In America, politicians can’t use their power to arrest people they disagree with - it’s a free country.
@DelfinaValdez8@AlexMealerTX Perfect response. She lost the election, now whines from her fancy house in The Heights. I saw her at Boomtown on 19th the other day, enjoying coffee on a patio with a wide sidewalk. But shouldn’t that patio be another car lane by her logic? 🙄
