The idea of extracting maximum labor is embedded in management thinking and practice.
Yet in most modern endeavors, /enabling maximum learning/ will yield better results across a host of different measures.

Great story about the work @NTT_DATA_UK, @Microsoft, @PoliceChiefs, @Police_ICT, and @MoJGovUK are doing to protect and support of victims of FGM and forced marriages

I just heard about Tony Hsieh's passing and it's hitting me. Back in the early days of Simple I tried to poach his head of customer service. He found out and made a counter-offer: we could come to meet his team and they'd teach us about how they operated.
“...Tata Consultancy, closing in on half a million workers, has already committed to a “25-by-25” strategy — by 2025, only 25% of its workforce will be working inside an office at any one time.” Game-changer for India’s #womenintech https://t.co/TSwojLjn9w # @BusinessLiveSA

So much advice on #strategy is weak—and only outlines how many ways you plan to be successful
Not enough emphasis on deliberate choices for what you will not do
Remember it's
what could we do?
what should we do?
what will we do?
what we will NOT do?
Answer them all
Really enjoyed this short and sweet blog by @sal_raz of @HardianHealth. #Healthtech is *hard* - Sal does a great job of explaining why, and what to do about it:

Do a little math with me. @basecamp has 100,000 paying customers, paying $99/month (maybe less on average bc historical pricing) = $118,800,000 in annual revenue. Let’s round down to $100MM.
The reason enterprises keep getting disrupted by startups is not just speed of delivery, #agile, or customer-focus...
It's that they see #prodmgmt and software as a cost center instead of a growth driver.
This is something I used to do when I had a backlog. I never once had anything resurface. I used to tell people to do this all the time, they said I was crazy 😂
Just heard the pre-release (out Tues) edit of @sabiosense’s @SimonThorpe100 & Matt Dyer’s #theCXXChat podcast and it’s sounding good. We chatted about the design techniques that helped us launch & scale @MealsForTheNHS so quickly & what I’ve learned from my inspiring teammates.
This. I always tell leaders if they want to transform, they need to go both top down and bottom up. The ones who only want to do bottoms up bc “leaders too busy” or “don’t need help” see tons of churn when all their people are trained and realize they can’t do their jobs there.
