Sonam Wangchuk ends his fast after 26 days upon getting assurance from the government and members of parliament of all political parties that the issue of accountability in the failing examination system will be discussed on the floors of the Indian Parliament. The government also gave assurance that families of suicide victims in the recent NEET examination paper leak will be given adequate compensation and that there will be no cases registered against the peacefully protesting students and youths.

2 tiger carcasses have been found within a distance of about 200 mtrs in Karpa Circle(RF 382)of Banchachar Beat under the North Forest Division of #Shahdol.The deceased tigers include one tigress and one male tiger.Their deaths are suspected to have been caused by electrocution.

A tiger cub had gone missing from the enclosure built in the Tala core area of the @BandhavgarhTig2, & there has been no information about it so far. Meanwhile, four tigers have died in the month of January 2026.

Today, Tuesday, a 5-year-old female tiger was found dead in @BandhavgarhTig2.The body of the tigress was recovered near village Guruwahi in the Kuchwahi Beat (PF342)of the Manpur bufferzone of the BTR.This is the 4th such incident in the month of Jan 26.

A cub had escaped from an enclosure in @BandhavgarhTig2 & there has been no trace of it for about 15 days. According to sources, one cub of the tigress named Raw is also missing. Such incidents highlight the security and monitoring arrangements of #BTR.

Tiger's death.The incident is from Putpura village Kherwahar (PF112) in the Dhamokhar range of @BandhavgarhTig2.where the tiger got trapped in fencing wires around a farm enclosure, leading to its death.This is the 3rd tiger death in #BTR this month.
