1/ Here’s my take: I believe that female identifying and BIPOC folx should have higher representation in the day to day of every end of the industry. Yes, this is BETTER than it has been. And it’s also complicated by our implicit biases and systematic structures.

Nothing like making an observation about women in music on a prominent show(which I love and respect).. to receiving defensive and passive aggressive responses from multiple folks. Like, I know I wasn’t attacking. But.. somehow I’m in the wrong?

10/ There just isn’t reason to continue the blaming. It’s not helpful. But we can note and observe and comment. We can ask for these things to happen. And we definitely shouldn’t be shading those who have. It just further alienates folks who are for dialogue.
