our team tries to enable @grnet_gr release secure services by performing successive assessments. Here are some statistics regarding the defects we identified in ’20 and ’21. Overall, ’21 was more productive as the scope of the services we examined was wider. On to the next one!
we have been setting up a test-bed to evaluate different Web Application Firewalls. To generate malicious traffic we are currently using @sqlmap, the "Nikto" Web server scanner and @kalilinux’s XSSer. Any other suggestions?
An overview of #Mirai & mirai-like infections (unique IPs/day) in our dataset from late 2016 till now illustrated below, based on network telescope, honeypot & sinkhole data. Peak was at over 2.6M unique IPs on 29th Nov 2016. Still see new variants & 200K IPs daily in 2020. #IoT
to address challenges (e.g. faster release pace, reliability) related to new services developed by @grnet, we opted for cloud native patterns and practices. Currently, through @kubernetesio we are managing multiple services running smoothly on our infrastructure! #K8s#DevOps
